COUPLE'S SPOTLIGHT: Deborah + Daniel

COUPLE'S SPOTLIGHT: DEBORAH + DANIEL

Happy 2017 everyone! We are gearing up for the new wedding season, which means more awesome wedding couple's to introduce! And who better to kick things off than our first 2017 #LHCouple - Deborah and Daniel!

What can we say? These two lovebirds have been an absolute pleasure to work with. As our very first luxury wedding client's, they've made this whole process so easy for us not only by being so organized and on top of everything (they planned their wedding in less than 6 months), but by being so upbeat, patient, and fun-loving every time we meet with them (despite how stressful and challenging the wedding planning process can get)!

How did you and Daniel meet?

(By Deborah)

We are both from San Diego but never knew each other down there. We both moved to San Francisco in 2011. A few months after we had both moved to the bay, a mutual friend came up to visit Daniel. She reached out to me and asked if I wanted to meet up with them. I told them to meet me at my neighborhood sports bar and that's how we met!

What's the proposal story?

Daniel is the Beverage Director of Pagan Idol, a tiki bar in San Francisco. I got to tag along on his work trip to France where he was touring rum and cognac distilleries. On a free day, we walked around Paris and then went to sit in the park and share a bottle of rose. He proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower.

What made you decide to book The Lighthouse for your big day?

We met in a sports bar in the Sunset District in SF and dated on and off for about 3 years. We fell in love and decided that we wanted to have a life together while I was living on a sailing yacht docked at the Emeryville Marina. We both loved the ambiance and charm of the Marina in Emeryville and looked into having our wedding somewhere around there, but nothing was perfect. When I found the Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina it was everything we wanted out of a wedding venue! I was actually googling a different venue when I stumbled upon the Lighthouse's website. I knew instantly that it would make the perfect backdrop for the one of the most important days of our lives!

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

We're excited to become husband and wife, but we're also looking forward to seeing everybody! We're both so busy, he runs a bar and I run a boutique, and we rarely have time for friends and family, especially those who don't live in the Bay Area. We can't wait to have so many people we love all in one place!

In less than a month (more like 3 and a half weeks!!!) we get to witness the union of this beautiful couple and we could not be more excited to be part of their special day!
